Why should people stay with you when they can stay with your competitors?
What do you offer that is different, individual or unique?
We live in a world of similarity and mediocrity so if you want lots of people to book with you then you really need to stand out from the crowd.
What is it that your competitors can’t, don’t or won’t offer?
Please don’t say “lovely rooms” or “excellent service” because that’s what every other accommodation provider says!
Take some time to really think about why people should bother to book with you.
Think about what sets you apart from the competition. Discover what you offer that makes you different from the rest.
When you’ve figured that out then you can really start shouting about the benefits that you offer to potential guests.
Whatever you do, don’t focus on features, such as comfortable beds, a lovely garden or the fact that you cater for adults only.
Focus on the benefits of those features, such as a guaranteed good night’s sleep, enjoying a breakfast al fresco or a relaxing stay in peaceful surroundings.
